Projects at the SAL Lab
As a WorkLearn student with the Organic Vegetable Nutrient Management Project, I process crop and soil samples for analysis as well as maintain research plots at the UBC farm. I have also done work with Dr. Juli Carrillo in the Plant-Insect Ecology and Evolution Lab, maintaining a spotted wing drosophila colony and observing behavioural responses of female flies to peppermint essential oil.
